- Crystal Gilmore: Canadian Olympian (Sydney 2000), adult gymnast, and coach of 20+ years.
- Hugh Smith: 15-year veteran of the Canadian Gymnastics team, Cirque du Soleil coach, and adult gymnastics coach of 25+ years.
- Coach Rachel: Rachel lived in Malta as a child and trained at GymStars! She now lives in California and is Youtube's Gymnastics Coach, life-long gymnast, movement master, acro-yoga teacher, and our professional photo/videographer. Make sure to get your package here.
- Coaches at GymStars: We will hire coaches as needed to ensure the coach-to-athlete ratio remains low.

We are all about the MORE! This is why we will be spending a full day exploring islands via our private boat, experiencing aerial and acro yoga classes, and exploring Malta's most charming dinner spots.
The retreat will all be in English and is open to adults of all backgrounds, skills, and ages.

Coach Hugh
For 25 years, I have coached all levels of gymnastics and helped adults achieve levels they never thought possible!
My love of gymnastics has taken me to:
- Coached Cirque du Soleil performers
- Competing at Worlds, Pan American Games, and Olympic events
- Being part of the National Canadian Gymnastics Team for 15 years
- Coaching all levels of gymnastics as an NCCP Certified Gymnastics Coach.
- Teaching and leading breathwork, meditation, and sound bath.

Coach Crystal
I'm an Olympian, 2 x World Champion team member, and still competing at an Elite level at age 40 and as a mom of two!
I started gymnastics at age 5, and never leaving!
I currently coach adults at ALTA Gymnastics Club in Halifax, Canada, and judge meets. I'm well known for my unique, eye-catching moves and creative floor choreography, and I'm so excited to coach you in Cancun!

Coach Rachel
I lived in Malta as a child and trained at GymStars, so it's a full-circle experience "coming home" and coaching at my beloved gym. Movement has always been my passion—growing up as a gymnast, I traveled the world, discovering new ways to push my limits and embrace the art of motion. Over the years, my love for gymnastics evolved into a deep appreciation for acrobatics, circus arts, and all forms of dynamic expression. Life is too precious not to do what you love, and I believe in capturing those moments that make you feel alive. I'm a tall, mid-30s mom of two who started taking adult classes after a 27 year break—and gymnastics has never been more fun! I am organizing the logistics of this retreat because this is something I have done as a career, and now I get to host the retreats of my wildest dreams!

The Assistant Plan
If you are low on dough but still wanna go, consider this option! You will help as needed with things like prepping and cleaning up breakfast and sleep in bunk beds (room of 2 bunks/4 beds) for an extremely reduced price!

Shared Rooms
All of our rooms are shared (3-5 single beds), but it's not like you will be spending much time there anyway. The first 9 people to book will get the coveted rooms with gorgeous balcony views of the ocean and city!

What do other adult gymnasts think of our retreats...
The inaugural adult gymnastics retreat in Cancun was so much fun! You would expect there to be some hiccups or kinks to work out, but everything was planned extremely well by Jenny and Hugh. It was an amazing time with incredible coaches and new friends in a beautiful location. Very thoughtful and engaging activities were offered throughout the weekend. I definitely want to attend more retreats in the future!
